The first season of this sci-fi drama follows a group of teenage aliens from the planet Atria as they are integrated into a suburban high school on Earth, despite the protests of some members of each species. After meeting 10 years earlier, Atrian boy Roman (Matt Lanter) and human teenager Emery (Aimee Teegarden) rekindle their friendship and face prejudices from both sides. Their budding relationship is further complicated by the mysterious past of Roman's family, Emery's connection with fellow student Grayson (Grey Damon), and the objections of their friends and families. Elsewhere, Atrian Drake (Greg Finley) and queen-bee human Taylor (Natalie Hall) find themselves drawn to each other and struggle to maintain a forbidden relationship.
